Blog post #1
By Skylar

My goals for this year are to get on the honor roll, try to do more than 20 hours of Christian service this year, be better organized for school and at home, try to get exempted for at least one subject, get good grades, do well on my exam do and try to become a better soccer player than I was last year. The solution I have to do in order to get on the honor roll is that I’m going to work hard in my studies and be more organized this year from learning from the past and not making the same mistakes I did last year.  I’m going to try my best everyday with my studies and figure out a system to follow of my own.  To get better organized at school and at home is that I better start using my agenda more often to keep track of the days when I have soccer, so that I can know when to do my homework and what time I have to get everything done. I will put dividers for every subject binder, so that I know where my certain of where my papers are and I know where to find them exactly. I will keep my notes neat and use flash cards for an upcoming test. When I’m studying I need to actually understand what I’m learning so that it is easier to then memorizing it. When I start studying for exams, test or quizzes and I look through notes I will remember and understand on what I learned this year that will help me. To get good grades my exam I will need to keep all of my notes and make flash cards to keep organize for what I need to know for each subject and start studying a month ahead of time to keep my memory fresh on what I learned this year.

One of my goals is trying to become a better soccer player, than my whole team will see that I’m worthy to be a part of the team. To become a better soccer player I will attend to every practice, and work hard at each practice. During practices I will learn the drills my coach teaches, then apply it during the games. I will try my best to apply them during our games if not, I will try to practice the same drills more that have been taught at practices and always learn from my mistakes. I will practice outside of practices when I have the time and remember the drills that I practiced. Another goal of mine is trying to do more than 20 hours of Christian service to feel good about myself of volunteering. I will volunteer at the soup kitchen, help volunteer at my sisters’ daycares, help my Grandma with volunteering at St Edwards and more to make a world a better place my helping out the community.
